It is real fun to see Greg make such gems out of the crappy Airfix kits of my youth, it is obviously much harder than making another Edward Bf109, but also more rewarding, also for the viewer……I wonder if he is going to start a series of Frog builts in the near future, some more British gems wait there, as far as I remember…..

Hey Greg. Philip in New Zealand again! I've been trying to find the decal sets you show at the beginning of part 1. No luck! I'd always wanted to build a bare metal one of these but really like the grey version you showed. Can you let me know where you sourced those decal sets please (or even if you want to sell the ones you didn't use)? This is one of my favourite aircraft of all time. Remember seeing them do a storm climb at an air show when I was a kid. I've got both Trumpeter kits; the F.2A/F.6 and F.1A/F.3. I bought the ResKit resin engine sets and the Eduard interior & exterior PE sets. Hopefully I won't have the issues you got with your resin bits! I'm going to do gear-up, weapon-less and tank-less to show off the pure shape of the beast!

Great workGreg amazing but you do need a lot of experience with the software to get these results, this is not easy or straight forward for the every day person it would take a while to learn and navigate your way around this software, using the tools and naming renaming files ect before you got your great results .

Excellent work! I have the same kit in my stash and tried building it a few years ago. I ran into many of the issues you did. What ultimately ended my build was finding the front bonnet missing and nowhere to be found. It sits on a shelf, mocking me for thinking I’d get the best of it. I still hold out hope of someday finding the missing part or someone who may have one sitting in a parts box so that I can continue. BTW - love your solution to the wire wheels, I’ll be copying that technique.

Just watched this again. I love the detail in the cockpit, such as the navigator's table. This aircraft must have been a real handful to land, with such tall undercarriage.

I never cease to be amazed at the way you pick apart the weakly moulded parts of a kit and scratchbuild your own.
